Although originally intended for booting various operating systems and “LIVE Linux” tools, using it to install Linux from a flash drive to a hard drive should work well with most distributions. This tool works similarly to the Universal USB Installer, except instead of displaying a single ISO on USB, it can be used to store and run more than one distribution from your flash drive. It allows you to run multiple ISO files from the same device. Manifolds can also be easily disassembled or removed with the tool!

NOTE: I know you’re probably wondering: How can you boot from an exFAT USB? YUMI exFAT USB Boot variant is now available and recommended. It can be used to automatically create a bootable exFAT USB. Here are the main differences between the variants:

Use this version if you want to continue using the exFAT format on your USB drive and also intend to store files larger than 4GB. It supports modern UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes. Included is a standalone USB Boot creation tool derived from Ventoy/Ventoy2Disk. This variant is also backwards compatible with the Ventoy. If you want, you can even copy YUMI-exFAT- to the same location as Ventoy2Disk.exe and use the frontend YUMI-exFAT- with Ventoy. They allow you to create and manage for example; Ubuntu distributions with persistent images.

After preparing the disk, you can use the front-end installer to learn about, find, or download distributions and tools to install on the selected disk. The frontend creates an organized folder structure and copies each ISO to disk (recommended if you want the tool to track your installations for removal). It can also create persistent storage files for you and the associated .json record. For example, each Ubuntu-based distribution can have its own persistent storage of up to 10 GB. 😉

The “Try unlisted ISO” option supports the ability to drag additional ISO files and attempt to boot into the /multiboot/ISOS folder. They will be automatically recognized and their items automatically added to the start menu.
